By Laura Today Marco has decided it’s time to start trying to pull himself into a standing position. He started this in his crib when he was supposed to be napping! I guess it’s time to lower the crib. Marco later tried to pull himself up to get to Daddy’s computer. We have one determined child!

It was only a matter of time… I caught my first cold. I feel pretty miserable but I’m being a good sport. I really hate it when my mom tries to suck my boogers out with the Nosefrida. Otherwise, I’m trying to get lots of rest so I can feel better.
Since my mom is working three days a week, I had to start daycare today. Mom and Dad tell me it’s a good place to learn how to interact with other kids and adults. I have a huge library that my parents try to keep organized in the shelves under my window seat. However, I have decided that I like my books all over the floor. Every day, I go pull all my books out and scatter them everywhere. I think this makes my mom crazy, but she’s going to have to get used to things being messy around here!
It seems like every day I learn something new! Today I mastered getting into a sitting position by myself. I am still a little wobbly and I need Mom or Dad close by in case I start to topple, but for the most part, I got this! My parents are so proud of me!
I have been working hard on crawling and sitting up. I can do an “army crawl” across the floor at a fairly good pace when I’m motivated. I can also get myself into an almost-sitting position! While I smile a lot these days, I haven’t really laughed yet. Today, however, I saw something very funny. A car rolled off my banana box and flipped over! That made me laugh my first real laugh. As a Christmas treat, my parents decided to give me my first solid food. My mom roasted and puréed sweet potatoes. Sounds good, right? I was like, yes please!
