MEET MARCO

the story of me

Tummy Time

Apparently tummy time is a big important thing for newborns like me. I don’t know why… But putting me flat on my belly seems weird and until now I fought it vehemently! But somehow in the last few days I’ve been able to lift up my head better and tummy time is not so horrible. I don’t love it, but I’ll do it to make my parents happy.

My Friends

Being a baby, I have to wear a diaper. My mom and dad change my diaper all of the time. This could become tedious, if it weren’t for my FRIENDS! They hang over the changing station and sing to me every time I have to have my diaper changed. I love them soooo much! They are definitely my favorite toys and they make me happy every day!

The Hinelys Are In Town!

I’ve heard a lot about these Hinely people, and when they came to visit from Colorado, I found out why! What fun, nice people they are! Here’s a picture of Uncle Tim holding me. I don’t look happy, but I promise I am. We also had a picnic with them. While Aunt Tammie was holding me, Sophia just kept saying how “adorbs” I was! I think that means she thinks.. Read More

My Red-Faced Baby

By Laura… We all love Marco. But man, is he difficult!! I just want to document what we call “red-faced baby”- when he screams and cries so much that he turns red. There’s not much we can do to calm him down when he is like this, which is often. We have to swaddle him, shhhhh him, give him a pacifier, rock him, and then hopefully he will calm down. It’s.. Back In Oregon

We are back from our trip to California! My parents celebrated by taking me to lunch at a food cart pod. They enjoyed a yummy meal while I slept. It feels good to be back home in Portland!

Me and the Kids!

There are a lot of kids in California, and somehow they all wanted to hold me! I got to be held by Hudson and Jackson. They are Uncle Dwayne and Aunt Kristin’s kids. I also got to be held by Alyson, who sang me the most lovely rendition of “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star” I’ve ever heard: Alyson is Aunt Gloria’s daughter. Mom has known Aunt Gloria and Aunt Tammy since.. Read More

Dad and Plaid

My dad and I had a talk today about plaid shirts. Apparently this is a Mazzucco thing- we like plaid. I wore a plaid shirt like my dad today and I thought I looked pretty snazzy.  My dad did too!

Lunch at Souplantation

We are still in California. Today we went out to lunch at Souplantation with Nanny, Pappi, the Palaseks, and Uncle Rob and Aunt Kathie. Apparently my dad used to work at this restaurant when he was a young man.  My mom has known Uncle Rob and Aunt Kathie since she was just a little girl! Aunt Kathie held me for a little bit. However, I was Mr. Crankypants at the.. Read More

My Godparents

While in California, I got to hang out with both of my Godparents, Uncle Dwayne and Aunt Kristin. It was great seeing them both and visiting their nice, air conditioned house! Did I mention it was hot in California?

Me, Nanny and Pappi!

When we went to California, I met my Nanny and Pappi. They are my dad’s parents.  I was really impressed with their garden! My mom took me out on the deck in the backyard each morning before it got hot and we all hung out and enjoyed the lovely trees and watched the blue jays take peanuts off of the table. I did not like the blue jay’s screechy chirp.. Read More
