Guess what I can do? Mom taught me how to drink from a straw! It’s not too difficult! I still have a bit of practice to do, but Mom hopes to have me drinking from a straw cup instead of a bottle soon. For now, I get a little bit of both.
A Visit from Aunt Lori
My Aunt Lori came to visit from Massachusetts!! She was so nice, and definitely had some good mom skills going on! I was a little hesitant because I don’t like anyone to hold me other than Mom and Dad. But we did have some fun times! We went to the Japanese garden, which was very beautiful. We also went out to eat a few times and to the park. I.. Read More
Finger Foods
Most babies my age eat finger foods. Not me. I don’t like anything that requires me to chew. This makes my mom very sad. She tries so hard to get me to eat crackers and bananas and other little finger foods. I’m just not into it. Except… I seem to like tortillas! Mom gave me a little piece over the weekend and I chewed it up and ate it! She.. Read More
What a Load of Kaka
I went to my second Timbers game today, this time versus Orlando. We got there at half time because of my nap schedule. I was really enjoying the game and studying up on all the plays because I want to be good at soccer one day. However, my dad and I were not happy when Kaka scored a penalty against us. Oh well. The Timbers are not off to a.. Read More
My Own Guitar
We have established how much I love the guitar. Well, today Mom and Dad took me to a big sale for babies and kids. Can you guess what they got me? I’m so excited! I’m pretty sure this is how you play it: I know it’s not a real guitar but it’s still pretty fun. My parents told me they would buy me a real one once I’m old enough.. Read More
And I Didn’t Even Cheat!
By Laura Whenever I play blocks with Marco, I’m reminded of the Modern Family episode where Mitchell is so competitive that he takes another baby’s block tower and says Lily did it at a baby play group. This is after another parent asks if she is stacking yet. I’m always thinking, “ok Marco, let’s see you stack those blocks!” Because you know, I don’t ever want to be put in.. Read More
My First Easter
It’s Easter! We had a relaxing day of not doing much. I took a very short morning nap (much to my parent’s dismay) and we went to church. I also got some goodies from Grandma and Grandpa, Aunt Jenna and Uncle Zak, and the Easter Bunny! Later in the day, Mom and Dad took me on a walk to the park. I got to swing for the first time! I.. Daredevil
I have become quite the climber. If there is something on the ground that I can climb on, I’m there! My parents get a lot of boxes delivered to the house, so there’s a lot of opportunity for making them nervous as I try and climb up on them! The higher I can climb, the better. Look at Mom trying to spot me as I stand up on this box… Read More
My Fancy Scarves
Mom and Dad bought me a set of colorful scarves to play with. I can do peek-a-boo with them, pull them out of a tissue box, and just throw them around. I love them!! Mom thinks I will find new fun ways to play with them over the years.
