Look! I’m almost 2 years old! Mom and Dad planned a little party for me. It was much smaller than my first birthday party, but that’s ok with me! The night before, Aunt Janice came over and helped get everything ready. She did SO much, including make some really cute soccer ball sandwiches!
I helped with the balloons.
When it was party time, my friend Isaac was the first one to show up, and we immediately hit the sand table!
Some other friends came, including Emily from school. I really missed having my school buddy Harry there, but he wasn’t feeling well. Mom planned a few activities for us, including painting…
…and a bubble machine…
…and a water brigade!
(Despite what these pictures might lead you to believe, I wasn’t too into the water brigade even though the other kids seemed to like it. I just didn’t see the point.)
Then it was time for snacks and cupcakes!
I spent a long time contemplating my cupcake before finally trying it. Always the skeptic.
After food, the party got a bit wild when some kids’ shirts came off and it was time to get into the ball pit!
But my special shirt that Aunt Janice made me was not coming off- I love it! You know, it says my name on the back!
