Mom and Dad took me to the Oregon State Fair in Salem. It is about an hour drive from Portland, and because I spent the early morning hours being a crazy guy, I took my only nap of the day on the way to the fair.

When we go there, we saw all kinds of animals! I was a little nervous at first, but after awhile I warmed up and was very excited to see the farm animals! I was super excited about the pigs. They were much bigger than I thought, and they made the most interesting sounds! I enjoyed them quite a bit.

I also talked to the goats, who were very friendly. I got to pet some of them too.

The biggest animals we saw were the clydesdale horses. They were HUGE! I thought they were very pretty.

At first, when I saw the llamas, I was a little bit scared. However, then I saw a llama named Rosie, who was celebrating her 10th birthday.

After meeting Rosie, I was a llama fan! I even petted a llama, and she was so soft and fluffy!

As neat as the animals were, my favorite part of the fair was… the tractor sales area. They had SO many tractors for sale, and I got to sit and drive a lot of them! I spent a LOT of time “driving” and I had so so so much fun!

I loved the fair, and can’t wait to go again next year!
