It was time to go visit Grandma and Grandpa in Michigan! i’ve been so excited for this trip for a long time! We took a very early flight and I loved it! We got to fly on Delta, which meant COOKIES!
I even got to sit in the pilot’s seat after our plane landed. How cool!
We had a very long layover in Minneapolis, so there was some time to be silly.
We finally made it to Flint, just as the sun was going down.
I had a lot of fun playing with Grandma and Grandpa at the house…
But we also went out and did a lot of cool things! The first day we were there, we went to the Sloan Museum, where there was a Clifford the Dog exhibit!
I even go to meet Clifford, which did freak me out a bit.
Also at the museum, I enjoyed building with huge blocks, and playing in the kitchen. I made a picnic for all of us to enjoy!
I also had fun running a little cafe. I was the chef, of course.
On another day, we went to East Lansing to meet up with Aunt Jenna at Michigan State, where she works. The campus is very pretty!
I finally got up the courage to ride the horse (for a penny) at Meijer store. Last year, I was too afraid!
The weather was cold but clear, so we got to spend some time outside! After painting some rocks, we went on the river walk. We found other painted rocks, and traded our rocks for the ones we found!
We also got to play at a really fun park!
The leaves at Grandma and Grandpa’s house weren’t too bad, but we still had a little raking to do.
On the sunniest day of the week, we went to Frankenmuth. While there, we went to Bronner’s, the largest Christmas store in the world!
We also got pizza at T-Dub’s, which was quite tasty!
The weather got quite chilly and a little wet later in the week. We went to the Flint Farmer’s Market, where I played on a pretend tractor.
Then, we went to the Flint Children’s Museum, where I was a pizza chef!
I also got to do a little play, where I was a baby tiger (naturally!).
There was a room where we could build with big blue blocks! We ALL had fun building a huge house, which I then knocked down!
It’s always sad to say goodbye, but it was time to go back to Portland. I’ll miss Grandma and Grandpa, but we will be back soon!
