Weaning Marco of the swaddle is not going well. However, it is absolutely necessary since he flips himself over from his back to his tummy all the time now, even when swaddled. Somehow he has forgotten how to flip from tummy to back, so usually things end with him on his tummy crying, mad that he can’t flip back over. He isn’t sleeping more than 10 minutes when not swaddled, so we have a dilemma. At night, we now have him in the co-sleeper swaddled with one arm out, and I sleep with a hand on his chest all night to keep him from flipping. For naps, we either swaddle one arm out and watch him carefully on the monitor or hold him. He is one tired guy, getting very little restful sleep because he wants to keep practicing his new skills! But here he is, conked out on my lap after his lunch.
