MEET MARCO

the story of me

So Strong

My mom takes me to meetings where there are other babies, most older than me. I see them crawling around and I think to myself, “Hey, I can do that!” So I’ve been working on my push-ups. I can get pretty high now and even get myself in a plank position. I just need to work on getting my knees under my body. Then it’s on!!

My “Magic” Sleepsuit

Ok, so apparently mom and dad are tired (literally) of my sleeping habits. They are so desperate that they bought me something called a magic sleepsuit. I look ridiculous in this thing! However, it does weigh my arms down so they don’t flail all over the place. I am still waking up about every two hours at night, but I have gotten a few three hour stretches while wearing this.. Jumperoo

Yesterday my parents got me this jumperoo. They say it is for my development, independence, and motor skills. I think they just want a break from holding me all the time! This thing is pretty fun for a few minutes, but then I’m done. Maybe I just have to get used to the jumping around bit. I’m sure I’ll like it more as time goes on.

I Love My Feet!

You know what fascinates me? My feet!! They are pretty fun to grab and I really enjoy sucking on my toes. There are just so many exciting things I am discovering in this world!

We Did the Monster March

Today my parents put me in this get-up: They said it is a Halloween costume. Then we all went to a big parade in our neighborhood called the Monster March. We walked in the parade for a bit and then stood and watched all of the kids in their costumes. I found it fascinating. I can’t wait until I’m old enough to eat candy!!

Chatting With Abuelo

Since I live kind of far from all of my grandparents, I enjoy doing video chat with them. That way I can really get to know them, and they can see all the changes that are happening to me. Today I chatted with Abuelo. It was super nice to see him!!

A Little Nap

By Laura… Weaning Marco of the swaddle is not going well. However, it is absolutely necessary since he flips himself over from his back to his tummy all the time now, even when swaddled. Somehow he has forgotten how to flip from tummy to back, so usually things end with him on his tummy crying, mad that he can’t flip back over. He isn’t sleeping more than 10 minutes when.. Read More

Our Sleepless Nights

By Laura… We have been going through the four month sleep regression a little early over here. Marco is waking so often during the night and does not go back to sleep easily. We were trying to have him sleep in his own crib to see if that would help. It did seem to help a bit. However, he has been faced with a couple new sleep challenges. Two days.. Read More

Sophie, Revisited

I posted about Sophie the giraffe few weeks ago. At the time, I was not impressed by this little squeaky toy that every baby seems to rave about. Well, I have to admit that this little giraffe has won its way into my heart! It is just the right size for my hand and mouth, and somehow the design is just perfect for chewing on. I am won over; I’m.. Read More

A Day With Tammy and Gloria

Aunt Tammy and Aunt Gloria visited Portland so we got to hang out. We had lunch at a restaurant and then went to a toy store. Aunt Tammy bought me this tambourine that I took an interest in. I love it!! Later we went to a taproom. I was pretty grumpy because I haven’t been sleeping well lately and I had refused to take my afternoon nap. I think I.. Read More
